This weekend at the Northcoast Knitting Guild’s Knit & Crochet Out, we finished our new Boat Neck Swoncho by Glenfiddich Wool. It was such a blast to see our old and new knitting friends. So much creativity in one room- so many stitching fingers. It was like we all had our own secret language. For more knitting circle fun, you can join us from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Friday at Fine Points for stitching support and good times.
Liz and I fell in love with this Swoncho pattern when it graced the runway at Stitches Midwest. Kathleen and Barbara couldn’t have been nicer. We bought a few patterns for the store and the rest is history!
We knit this Swoncho out of Malabrigo Twist in the Stonechat color way. We love the rich autumnal colors, don’t you? This cozy pullover is knit from side to side and then seamed up the shoulders. Collar and sleeves are picked up for seamless knitting. Their pattern includes several collar options but we loved the dramatic cowl/hood collar. The sweater/poncho hybrid looks great on ANY BODY TYPE! We see this worn with leggings and boots or jeans.
Stop in the shop to pick up the yarn and pattern soon!
